Battle of the China Sea
The year 1901
The Boxer rebellion has gone sour, The Chinese Govt has decided that the Boxers are no longer capable of defending them, so have negotiated concessions for the Germans. The other Great Powers aren't going to take that lying down, and despatch fleets to the Yellow Sea to enforce concessions, only to discover the Kaiser has beaten them to the punch, sending almost his entire navy to defend the Chinese concessions.
After initial skirmishes, the Allies decide decisive action has to be taken and assemble a fleet to bombard the main German naval base at Tsingtao.
The scenario starts when the allied cruiser squadrons, scouting for the location of the German fleet run into their German counterparts as they steam towards Tsingtao. The Great Powers objective is to close and bombard Tsingtao (off-table). The Sino-Germans to stop them or damage them so severely (80+ NP) that they cannot continue.
This game actually ran in two parts, the first being the cruiser engagement, then the clash of the big boys.
